New iPhone 5 imminent, implausible commercial

The rumors that the iPhone 5 is imminent have being doing the rounds today due to a recent ad casting. However this is an implausible commercial, and people who work in that field are those to disprove it. The ad was online only for a few hours when it was taken down, but that was enough time for someone to take a screenshot.
In that ad it was looking for five people to shot a commercial in LA, but be paid in pound sterling. Now there are two ways that we can take this; the first is that there is a commercial and that it will be for the iPhone 4S, as that is the most likely next Apple Smartphone. However, it is more likely to be a hoax due to the nature of the ad.
One reader has commented on MacRumors, saying that his online casting software company handles at least 98% of all commercials in LA; he also adds that no director would ever cast for actors in this way. This certainly seems to be the consensus, as most of the readers have wondered how some of us have got suckered into this in the first place?
However, we still might see a new iPhone at WWDC. We say this because only a few days ago the UK iPhone PR team was asking press from that country to attend the event, and that there would be an unveiling of a new iPhone. There certainly seems to be some evidence here, but we still have two questions – when will it be released and what will Apple call the new iPhone?

Four iPhone 4 versions for India, changing the trend

It has been almost a year, but now there is to be four iPhone 4 versions for India. There will be those wondering why it has taken so long, but when you look at the history between India and Apple, we now hope that they are changing the trend. While this news will not be very beneficial to those of you in other parts of the world, just imagine how much it is a big deal for the Indian market?
Looking on the Flipkart website we can see that they are currently out of stock, but Tech 2 believes that they are finally on their way. The four versions will be the 16GB and 32GB, along with a choice of black or white. In the past India has been one of the last on the list when it comes to getting Apple’s smartphone; the reason for this was due to the lack of 3G support by local carriers. Now that they have started to push out this service in parts of the country they are now starting to get the handsets that consumers have been craving.
There is evidence to support this fact, as India received the iPad 2 just one and a half months after it was launched. However, we do wonder why Apple offered the country the fourth-generation iPhone when the fifth-generation model is expected to be released in just four months?
If we were to put a wager on it we would say that the iPhone 5/4S or whatever they might call it will be launched in India six months after the U.S., UK and the rest of Europe. Who knows, one day it might be released at the same time as the rest of us?
The cost of the 16GB iPhone is expected to be Rs. 34,500, with the 32GB version coming in at Rs. 40,900. As yet there are no pre-order details or when the device is expected to start shipping.
Is it a good or bad thing that India is to get the iPhone 4, which is now 11 months old?

Apple’s 8-megapixel iPhone 5: Improving picture quality?

We all know that the current iPhone has seen an improvement when it comes to the camera, but this has still not stopped us from purchasing third-party accessories. However, Apple’s 8-megapixel iPhone 5 might stop that altogether. Now we know that it is not all down to how many megapixels there are for improving image quality – that it all down to the lens – but we can be sure that Apple will have that covered as well.
DigiTimes has learned that Largan Precision will be the supplier for the parts needed, and that they will appear in the 2011 iPhone later this year. We all know that Apple usually launches a new iPhone in June, but recent reports suggest that it will be September, and this latest news supports this.
Largan’s should expect their 8-megapixel camera module sales increase from 10 percent of its business to much more than that. The reason we say this is because the iPhone 4 is the most used camera in the world, so we cannot see why this would not be the same for the iPhone 5 as well.
This will not be the only modification for the iPhone camera, as we expect that the LED flash will be moved away from the lens. This should hopefully improve image quality when taken in low-light conditions; it should also reduce red eye as well.
Is the improvement to the iPhone camera an important feature for you?

iPhone 5 or 6 new design, curved glass feature

Reports are suggesting the Apple iPhone 5 or possibly the iPhone 6 will get the curved glass feature as the iPod nano shown in the picture above, the question is “Will this be a very expensive option if added to the future iOS smartphone?”
DigiTimes has reported that Apple may possibly look into the curved glass screens for future iPhones, the iPod Nanos as said above have this glass already but the screens are very small whereas the iPhone versions will be around 4-inches, expensive option but possible.
Apple do have great experience already we know that and if reports are correct that they are investing in 200-300 glass cutting machines then they must be serious in incorporating this technology, Apple has the money to make this investment and if succeeded we could see brand new iPhone designs that would definitely be good for the eyes of the customer.
Aesthetically the new curved glass design would look great but do we really need to sway away from the current flat screen?
Of course this is not officially announced and we will keep a close eye out for this news, in the meantime would you like to see the curved glass feature on the iPhone 5 or the iPhone 6?
The glass cutting machines mentioned above are at the moment being stored at some assembly plants, apparently they will come into use as soon as yield rates for the production for such curved glass has reached a satisfactory level.
As usual the word “Waiting” for official news has arisen again, please do post your comments in the area provided below. We would love to know if you would like a new glass design on the iPhone models mentioned above.

The Invisible Imaginary iPhone, future in your hand

Now we all know that the new iPhone 5 will be shipping around September time and it would be fantastic if we were to see this the new invisible imaginary iPhone, this is what we call ‘Future in your hand’.
Patrick Baudisch researcher at Hasso-Plattner Institute has made this new technology all possible and if you watch the video below you can see the invisible iPhone in action, this could become reality in the future.
This technology is worth thinking about, your phone rings, or you want to call someone, maybe you would like to play a game, whatever the scenario there is no need to hold the Apple iPhone because you can just hold out your hand and use that as the screen. We visited Technology Review and they report that the ‘Invisible iPhone’ has an Xbox-like depth camera that will acknowledge a users finger when your swipe or stroke your hand.
This new hi-tech gadget does require special software so that it can determine gestures the user is making; it transmits commands to a physical phone, via WiFi radio. Muscle memory is what this is all about here; the software memorizes this in order for it to work.
According to Baudisch when they were researching they found that iPhone users could determine and we mean accurately determine the position of two-thirds of their apps on their palms, and this can be done without looking at the iPhone itself. If you look at the video below you will learn more. The camera technology is a on the large side and researchers are hoping to get this camera down to a small size.
Please do watch the YouTube video below of the Invisible Imaginary iPhone below courtesy ofseangustafson, please let us know what you think of this new technology.

iPhone 5 may have LTE on China Mobile

The rumors that the iPhone 5 may have LTE are starting to gain momentum, but is still not likely this year. China Mobile said that they would support this to their 600 million or so customers, but this will still not happen until at least 2012. Both Apple and the carrier have been in talks since the first-generation was released back in 2007, so great to see the two could be close to a deal.
Apple will have to make a few changes to the China Mobile version of their 4G iPhone, as they use a technology called LTE TDD, which some of you may know means Time-Division Duplex. PCWorld learned this from a spokesperson from the carrier, who had been in direct contact with chairman Wang Jianzhou.
Some of you may be wondering why Apple and China Mobile have not made such a deal in the past, and the simple answer is all down to TD-SCDMA 3G network. The 3G technology is very different to what AT&T uses, so would have required Apple to rebuild their smartphone to accommodate this.
China Unicom already has the iPhone, so has the jump on their rivals. They currently offer the handset to their 174 million customers, so this latest news will not only be a boost for China Mobile but also Apple as well, as the number of iPhone sales could likely see a huge percentage increase.
There had been rumors that an LTE iPhone would be with us this year, but that is highly unlikely for a number of reasons, the main one being that the technology used by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon is still in its infancy.

iPhone 5 possible delay & iPad halt after Foxconn Fire

The iPhone 5 could see a release date delay this year after an explosion at a Foxconn factory near Chengdu, China happened. Two people who worked at the factory were sadly killed and 16 were left injured.
The Foxconn site is where the iPad is manufactured supposedly and because of the explosion that led to a big fire could halt production of Apple iPad’s, according to Computer World this could also bring the iPhone 5 release delay as well.
WSJ reports that the explosion happened Friday night near the southwestern China facility, halting production. There was a statement sent to Gizmodo mentioning that Foxconn reports that the situation is now under control and such production will be put on hold allowing police to go ahead with their investigations.
You can see the full Foxconn statement via CNET that say’s at approximately 7 p.m. on May 20; there was an explosion at our Chengdu campus. Foxconn always take safety seriously and working very closely with investigations.
There have been a few suggestions on how the explosion occurred and apparently a super-light dust explosion may have caused it, other rumors suggest ventilation system problems and lightning strikes.
We will keep you updated about this tragedy and will let all know if the iPhone 5 will see a delay and of course if iPad productions are put on hold. Please do post all your comments below, do you think the iPhone 5 will see a release date delay and the iPad production will halt?

World-mode Verizon iPhone 5, same AT&T release date

Since 2007 Verizon customers were holding out for the iPhone, and thankfully they finally got their hands on Apple’s smartphone in January. We had assumed that the Big Red version would sell a huge number of units, but knowing that they were offering 6-month old technology did not sit will with the consumer. However, that will all change this year, as we can expect a world-mode for the Verizon iPhone 5, and the best bit is that it will have the same release date as AT&T’s version.
Reuters has been on hand at the Global Technology Summit, where Verizon CFO has been talking about the iPhone world phone as it will be known, which means that it will work in a number of other countries and not just the U.S. However, the one thing we are uncertain of is an actual release date. We had assumed June, but maybe Verizon’s January launch of the iPhone at the beginning of the year has postponed that until September?
So what does this all mean? Well all you need to know that instead of just working on CDMA, the next Verizon iPhone will work on both GSM and CDMA – so a dual-chip then. Now we should hopefully see a true battle between Big Red and AT&T, as it will be a fairer fight, as one will not have a 6-month head start.
In other news we can also tell you that Verizon is to cap data plan limits, which is just what AT&T did back in 2010. The wireless carrier knows that people are now using their mobile devices more and more to connect to the Internet, so this was an inevitable step. We can understand that this will not sit well with their customers, but is the only thing that they could do considering how we download apps, music and videos while on the move. The data limit will come into force in the summer.
How do you feel about the next Verizon iPhone being a world phone? Do you think a data cap is unfair?

Apple always behind in iPhone technology, reasons

Some may say the Apple iPhone is the most advanced smartphone on the market and of course we agree, but we have to sit back and think about them always being behind in mobile technology. Please let us give you our reasons why.
There are a few things to hit on here, for example 4G-LTE network technology is somewhat becoming a favoured subject to talk about with many companies such as Verizon etc bringing this new service to customers and many 4G enabled devices are being developed to feature 4G. Apple seem to be lagging behind with this technology on the iPhone, even the next-generation iPhone 5 (4S) will not have this feature.
Phones Review have stepped up to the plate and put forward statements such as; Apple’s lagging behind and seem to always wait for other devices with 4G technology such as Android devices, then once these mobile devices have been tested on the field and running smoothly Apple only then jumps on the band wagon with the same service.
On a personal note I have used many mobile phones and have to say the Apple iPhone 4 that I use on a daily basis for business and personal use is my favoured device, do not get me wrong I am not slagging Apple off far from it because the handsets technology in my eyes is stunning. I am merely putting a few points across that seem to be very true indeed.
Think about it for a moment, remember not having MMS on the iPhone before the iOS update? Well for quite some time you could not send picture messages until a software update was released, this basically means it was not as standard. Even copy and paste feature on the iPhone was not a standard feature like most new smartphones. So far that is 3 reasons why Apple is always behind in smartphone technology.
Going back to 4G network technology, smartphones such as Samsung Epic 4G, Samsung Infuse 4G, HTC EVO 4G and the HTC Thunderbolt 4G all had this feature when released so why not the iPhone 4, not even the next iPhone 5 will not have it, apparently 2012 Apple may have it.
In Apple’s Defence it doe’s seem sensible to wait and see other companies take on and feature all the latest technology and if it fails miserably then it stands to reason not to incorporate onto the iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 etc. Apple is not thinking about adding 4G LTE technologies to the iPhone 5 hopefully releasing in September because the service is nowhere near mature enough.
Apple do have one of the most advanced smartphones on the market and we of course do recommend them, are they just really clever not adding such technologies straight away like other mobile phones, or are they just not good enough to incorporate? Please do post all your comments on the area provided below.

iOS 4 hardware encryption cracked by Russians, data security

ElcomSoft a Russian company has beaten Apple’s iOS 4-hardware encryption; the firm is now offering the software that cracked iOS 4 to military and government agencies.
Having this sort of technology is fantastic if the agencies above will receive the crack but we all know that other sources will end up with it, which could cause all sorts of problems. ElcomSoft now have the ability to access everything on your iPhone 4 for example, they can check all the handsets history, text messages, emails, passwords, usernames, call history and even more interesting they can recover data deleted by the user from the device according to Geek.com
The software is now available to buy via ElcomSoft that will allow you to extract the encrypted data on a device, this software is called “ElcomSoft Phone Password Breaker” and for the professional edition it only costs £199.
For the crack to work you need the iOS device in your possession, does this mean that everyone has to protect their smartphones so it does not fall into the wrong hands? Has privacy gone right out of the window?
Millions of people across the world use smartphones for business, emails, messaging, calling, banking, location data and so much more, are we as smartphone users safe? Can we have at least something in our lives that is private to us and only us? We think not.

iOS 4.3.x support in Greenpois0n and iPad 2 jailbreak

We might have a little bit of good news here, as it seems that there is now some progress with iOS 4.3.x support in Greenpois0n for the iPad 2 jailbreak. This seems to go against what we learned yesterday that there had not been much progress. The Chronic Dev Team seems to have found that little something to help guide them to the finished product.
The team have said that they have given Josh a little shove to try and motivate him into keeping hold of his promise that we should see the iOS 4.3 iPad 2 jailbreak within weeks – well that was a week ago he said that. According to iPhone Hacks, it is now possible to perform workflow to permit RC6.2 very soon.
We find it a little confusing as to why we are hearing different stories; first we learn that the jailbreak will be ready soon, then we here that they were not making good progress. Now we are told that the progress that they are making is good and we should not have that long to wait. This seems like the constant jailbreak cycle that we know and love.
The iPad 2 is the only iOS device left to jailbreak, as those running on iOS 4.3.3 have already been jailbroken, which includes the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad 1. Keep coming back so that we can keep you informed as to the progress of iOS 4.3.x support in Greenpois0n for the iPad 2.

FastSn0w RC25: iPhone 4 / 3GS 4.3.3 jailbreak and unlock

While we sit around and wait anxiously for 4.3.3 Jailbreak for the iPad 2, the FastSn0w RC25 iPhone 4 and 3GS 4.3.3 jailbreak and unlock tool has become available. This tool was released last week, and as a result will no doubt be putting more strain on some of the best application sources. So how have you all been getting on with this latest version?
Fast Unlock iPhone is the developers behind FastSn0w RC25, which works with not only the iPhone but also the iPad and the iPod Touch for iOperating System 4.4.4. You will be pleased to know that this is an untethered jailbreak. Users have been waiting on the developers to launch this for a while now, so they will be happy that they can finally get their hands on it and give it a go.
While looking on their website we can already see that this update is all about easy functional, which is evident with the on-screen instructions once you have connected your iOS device. The first thing that will happen is that iTunes will close and then FastSn0w RC25 will open up, this will be the moment when the software takes control of your iPhone, iPod OS or iPad and press the Home and Sleep buttons in a certain sequence.
Fast Unlock has told their users via Twitter that they need to have patience when it comes to using FastSn0w RC25, as things have not been going that smoothly. However, once you understand what is going on it will all become easy – well in theory anyway. We are told that if all goes well your iOS device will be unlocked in just 10 minutes. Has this been the case for you?

iOS 5 turn-by-turn directions implementation, still Google

We had assumed that iOS 5 would have turn-by-turn directions implementation by using someone like Poly9 or Placebase. However, that does not seem to be the case and is said to be sticking with Google for now. This does mean that the search engine giant will still be supplying the maps for the iPhone for another year at least.
It is no secret that Apple is a little behind when it comes to offering turn-by-turn directions compared to the likes of Android and Nokia. We all know that Apple is a little slow when it comes to offering support of certain features – the camera being the perfect example of that. However, we now know that they are working hard to improve this, and a rumored 8-megapixel camera on the next iPhone is proof of that.
An article on 9to5 Google suggests that Apple is now in the process in improving their mapping system used on the current iOS, but it will not be Apple based. However, after the purchase of both the companies mentioned above, we know that it is coming – we just do not know when.
There is no explanation as to why the switchover from Google has not happened yet, considering how much Apple is separating themselves from the company. Why would Apple still want to use a rivals mapping solution when they have the ability to use their own? iOS users do not care who Apple use for free turn-by-turn directions, just as long as they get it this year.
Do you think that Steve Jobs will announce full turn-by-turn directions for iOS 5 during WWDC?

WWDC 2011 iOS 5 expectations: upgrades and improvements

June 6-10 is important to those who not only have a Mac, but an iOS device as well because it is when WWDC 2011 takes place, and will be when our iOS 5 expectations are met. Well we say that, but we have to wait and see what kind of upgrade and improvements will be offered in this latest mobile operating system.
We know that one item of discussion will be missing this June, and that is the new iPhone, although we do expect Steve Jobs to give the device a brief mention – maybe we’ll learn if it is to be called the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5? We all have our very own wishlist of features we would most like to see on iOS 5, and we are no different.
iOS has been struggling of late to be able to keep up with the constant attack of Android, and one area of weakness is notifications. Apple seems to be too far behind not only Google, but also HP’s webOS and even RIM’s Blackberry OS. It would be stupid to presume that Apple will not address this issue.
How many times have you gone to send a text, only to realize that you are sending it to the wrong person? You could be texting something innocent, but there are times when that SMS could get you in a whole load of trouble. Apple needs to be aware of this and offer a feature that will allow you to cancel a text.
The first thing that you see when you turn your iPhone on is the Home Screen, so why does it all feel a little too old now? iOS 4 offered us a vast improvement, but iOS 5 needs to take this a step further and make it fresh and exciting. Voice Control is the final feature that we would like to see improved. The service is already good, but Apple could do so much more. We would like to see the ability to talk a text, notes or an email. We know that the technology is there, and this would be an ideal feature to cater for not only the consumer but enterprise users as well.
These are just a handful of features and improvements that we would like to see on iOS 5, and we only have three weeks for WWDC 2011 to learn if any of this will be included.
What features would you most love to see in the next version of iOS?

Infinity Blade 1.3 problems, touch of death & shutdown

This is personal when it comes to the awesome Infinity Blade iOS game, now we have this game on our Apple iPad and iPhone 4 and we would like to bring up a couple of problems.
The two problems we have cover the ‘touch of death’ and ‘shutdown issues’, let’s talk about the first one covering the touch of death, which is a big finger with a bone sticking out the end of it and in the swords category.
The touch of death finger sword is pointless and a waste of money, it costs a whopping $900,000 and all it gives you is a measly 10 damage points, now we all know that you can buy money from the app store for example $750,000 of fake money will cost you $19.99 of your real money from your bank account, taking that on board that works out that the $900,000 would cost you in the region of $25, total rip-off in a nutshell.
Whilst on the subject of the touch of death please do step forward and let us know what your thoughts are on this matter, the more response we get the good it will do for us to contact the developers.
The second problem is with the game itself, every time we open the Infinity Blade icon on our iPhone 4 or iPad and it goes through the rigmarole of the opening title etc, then all of a sudden the app shuts down, do it again and long and behold the shutdown process happens again.
If the developers or any readers know of this problem please let us know why this is happening because we have no clue, does this happen to you?
If you have anything to say on the above or you would love to talk about anything else to do with Infinity Blade please do visit our commenting area below and share with us. Thanks

News on iOS game downloads, over 5m a day

So we know that Android apps are starting to increase, but they are still a long way off the kind of numbers downloaded from the App Store. Recent iOS games news suggests that 5 million games a day were downloaded in March, but this number could be much more, as these were just the result of a survey taken by 63 million users.
The prospect is that this number is most probably much higher, so let us take a closer look at Distimo andNewzoo’s survey. There is a huge choice of apps in iTunes, but it is the games that have proved to be the most popular – they have not seen my brothers choice of useless apps then on his iPhone – as they account for half the number of app downloads.
The research was not only conducted in the U.S. but also half a dozen European countries as well, and it shows that 2.5 games a month were downloaded by each user – just looking for my half an app now, nope not there. The survey is an interesting one, as you can also see the percentage of iPhone owners of each country, but it is the iOS results that are of most interest to us.
Upon further study we can see that there are somewhere in the region of 50-75 percent of iPhone owners who play games on their iPhone, and 22 million users play these on their iPad. This is not surprising, as playing them on this larger iOS device gives you a more enjoyable experience.
We expect this number to keep growing, and when Apple does finalize their deal with China Mobile about offering an LTE iPhone, then the gap between iOS and Android is expected to grow at a much faster rate.
Do you expect the battle between iOS and Android to be a much closer one in 2011/2012?

Monster Hunter for iPhone: Dynamic Hunting

A couple of days ago Capcom announced their latest version of Monster Hunter for the iPhone, this new installment is called Dynamic Hunting. Some of you may remember that we first learned of this by Famitsu, the Japanese gaming magazine had assumed that the game app would not land until June 2011. The good news is the game will be released early, and will be launched to the world at the same time.
There are those of us who are unfamiliar with the Monster Hunter franchise, as it has been more for the Japanese market. This is considered to be a kind of Farmville or Mafia Wars in a way, as workers in the country would often take time out at work just to get some gaming in. However, what makes this franchise different is that it is a co-op multiplayer quest; so you will be hunting online for monsters with other players.
As you would imagine the iPhone version will not have nowhere near as much to offer, but it still has all the basics. The developer has made things a little simpler so that it works on a small touchscreen device. Controls are easy to use, as all you need to do is tap the screen to attack and use multiple gestures in order to block and also dodge your opponent.
Capcom-unity makes a point of letting us know that this iPhone version of Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunter is a single player, so no chance of getting help – its just you and your phone. We are still unsure if the game will make a perfect transition to an app, but we can be sure than fans of the franchise will be the first to speak out and let us know just how they feel.
Once the game is made available next month on the App Store we would love to know what your thoughts are, and if Capcom has done the franchise justice?

PSN Status down or up, iPhone app will tell

With all the issues that have gone on with the PlayStation Network, we have to wonder how gamers will ever know if the PSN status is down or up while out and about without searching the web? Thankfully there is an iPhone app that will tell you. This makes it so much easier than going onto the Internet on your phone to find out if the service is still online.
The app is free and is both quick and easy to use, but we have to wonder if it is a little late to the party? We could have done with this app last month, as we had no idea as to the status of PSN. However, with all the recent attacks on other Sony websites, we now live in fear that the PlayStation Network could fall victim to hackers once again.
Usually with apps you go to iTunes and some detailed information regarding each app is offered to you, not for PSN Status. All it says is its release date and what iOS devices it supports, which is of them running 4.0 or later.
There have been a few comments about the app, and all are positive. One says how easy it was, while another says that it is so much easier using this rather than turning their PlayStation 3 on.
Do you still think it is worth downloading and installing the PSN Status app?

Revamped Apple Store iPhone app, custom configurations

How many times have you visited an Apple Store to purchase a new MacBook or iMac only to find out that you cannot add more RAM, a faster CPU or extra storage to your order? Well you will be pleased to know that this has now been amended in store. Not only that, but a revamped Apple Store iPhone app now allows for custom configurations as well.
It is for this reason that Apple has started to use the iPad as part of its ordering process in store. However, for those of you who do not have one and only use an iPhone, then you can customize and place your order on your iPhone while you are on a train, on holiday or anywhere else that is away from your computer or an Apple Store.
The new Apple Store 1.3 app is not all about adding more to your new Mac, but also for improved support as well. Now you may wonder what all the fuss is about, as these features have been available online for some time. Well they were not for the iPhone, so is great to see that Apple has finally seen this little oversight and corrected it.
The new app also has another little feature; the moment that you walk into an Apple Store your app will give you vital information, such as when there is a Genius time slot coming up or when they will be showing their next workshop in store.
Apple did not release a universal app for their store for obvious reason, such as the whole pixel issue between the iPhone and the iPad. For more details on the new app visit iTunes.

Find with Hunch Mobile app: Customized recommendations

It is certainly no secret that social networking has become a huge part of our lives, and we are not just talking about catching up with friends on Facebook. A huge number of apps for the iPhone are also social based, such as location based ones. Now you will be able to find with the Hunch Mobile app, which offers the users customized recommendations just for you.
There is a huge number of these kind of apps already on the App Store, so developer Tim Mason needed to bring something different. We believe that being able to set your tastes so that the results for coffee shops, electronics, hotels, restaurants etc will be just what you need. There is still a whole load of other choices, and maybe some of them are better, but it is the personal recommendations that could help persuade you.
Some of the main features include 12 categories to browse. Here you will be able to view by your area or even find interest topics. There are Hunch’s predicted star ratings for how much it believes you will like a certain recommendation. The home screen also shows you top recommendation by category.
Some of those recommendations will have a detailed description about the search result, along with maps and much more. Every time that you rate a recommendation Hunch will learn by this and then share it with other users of the app. One of the best features has to be the search filter, so if you are looking for a certain type of restaurant then only those results will be returned.
The bad news is Hunch Mobile is only available for the US, we just hope that there are plans to extend the service. The app is free and was released on May 20, 2011; for more details visit iTunes.
