How many times have you visited an Apple Store to purchase a new MacBook or iMac only to find out that you cannot add more RAM, a faster CPU or extra storage to your order? Well you will be pleased to know that this has now been amended in store. Not only that, but a revamped Apple Store iPhone app now allows for custom configurations as well.
It is for this reason that Apple has started to use the iPad as part of its ordering process in store. However, for those of you who do not have one and only use an iPhone, then you can customize and place your order on your iPhone while you are on a train, on holiday or anywhere else that is away from your computer or an Apple Store.
The new Apple Store 1.3 app is not all about adding more to your new Mac, but also for improved support as well. Now you may wonder what all the fuss is about, as these features have been available online for some time. Well they were not for the iPhone, so is great to see that Apple has finally seen this little oversight and corrected it.
The new app also has another little feature; the moment that you walk into an Apple Store your app will give you vital information, such as when there is a Genius time slot coming up or when they will be showing their next workshop in store.
Apple did not release a universal app for their store for obvious reason, such as the whole pixel issue between the iPhone and the iPad. For more details on the new app visit iTunes.
