Find with Hunch Mobile app: Customized recommendations

It is certainly no secret that social networking has become a huge part of our lives, and we are not just talking about catching up with friends on Facebook. A huge number of apps for the iPhone are also social based, such as location based ones. Now you will be able to find with the Hunch Mobile app, which offers the users customized recommendations just for you.

There is a huge number of these kind of apps already on the App Store, so developer Tim Mason needed to bring something different. We believe that being able to set your tastes so that the results for coffee shops, electronics, hotels, restaurants etc will be just what you need. There is still a whole load of other choices, and maybe some of them are better, but it is the personal recommendations that could help persuade you.
Some of the main features include 12 categories to browse. Here you will be able to view by your area or even find interest topics. There are Hunch’s predicted star ratings for how much it believes you will like a certain recommendation. The home screen also shows you top recommendation by category.

Some of those recommendations will have a detailed description about the search result, along with maps and much more. Every time that you rate a recommendation Hunch will learn by this and then share it with other users of the app. One of the best features has to be the search filter, so if you are looking for a certain type of restaurant then only those results will be returned.

The bad news is Hunch Mobile is only available for the US, we just hope that there are plans to extend the service. The app is free and was released on May 20, 2011; for more details visit iTunes.
