With all the issues that have gone on with the PlayStation Network, we have to wonder how gamers will ever know if the PSN status is down or up while out and about without searching the web? Thankfully there is an iPhone app that will tell you. This makes it so much easier than going onto the Internet on your phone to find out if the service is still online.
The app is free and is both quick and easy to use, but we have to wonder if it is a little late to the party? We could have done with this app last month, as we had no idea as to the status of PSN. However, with all the recent attacks on other Sony websites, we now live in fear that the PlayStation Network could fall victim to hackers once again.
Usually with apps you go to iTunes and some detailed information regarding each app is offered to you, not for PSN Status. All it says is its release date and what iOS devices it supports, which is of them running 4.0 or later.
There have been a few comments about the app, and all are positive. One says how easy it was, while another says that it is so much easier using this rather than turning their PlayStation 3 on.
